No 1200 got ac from Japan. It was not a factory (Japan) option, but a dealer option.

See pics and details in our club Wiki: Aircon

Look up club member "nomore" from California, he might be will to sell you his A/C setup (which he is not using).

I have optional a/c in my coupe that is non-functional. I'm pretty sure it was a dealer installed option. The bracket that mounts the compressor and alternator is a monstrosity.

I kept all the parts and I might give it a go sometime in the future.

Here's the underdash control unit

I think that a knee freezer was available for the GX, but I think it was a japan only option. DD is the man, since he is our 1200 encyclopedia. I used the seach bar and found a heap of threads about it, so trawl through them, they will contain usefull info.

Was the 1200 Coupe available with air conditioning? If so, does anyone know if those components be sourced? Seems like it's getting hotter every summer in California!
Thanks!
