as for a 13B rotary good luck getting is passed for road usage.

cheapest out of all would be just put in a bigger A series engine, or do a CA conversion. Bigger A series i think would be cheapest but if looking for more stock power then a CA conversion.

that said, the amount of power you can get out of a worked A series is amazing. so cheapest option i think would be a worked A series engine

anyone please feel free to step i and correct me at any point in case i am way off here!!!

There has been quite a few discussions on whether any engineer in Australia would allow either the 13B turbo or SR20DET into a Datsun 1200.

An Sr20DE would be easier to engineer, but needs more than just the motor. Brakes, suspension, rear end, tailshafts, crossmembers pretty much custom made or modified.

It's quite a big job so if you payed someone to do it - I can't imagine them charging you much less the $10K for an SR20DE + upgraded everthing else, engineered. Maybe quite a bit more than that too.
