The A14 coupe will have to come home one day.....
I imagine the stainless rivets would be the hardest to pop too...although if their painted the shouldn't rust either? I keep getting distracted from these Datsuns....should almost be a crime, between that and making it all up as I go along makes for slow going.

my 2c: if you aren't using heaps go for stainless, that way you don't ever have to worry about them rusting on you. I got the zinc coated ones but some of the coating scratches off when you use the gun and you end up with rust runs down the paintwork, pain in the ass.

hehe....ahhhh you guys.
I've only just discovered rivets...got a little excited. I guess I've lived a sheltered life. Although what I'm still not sure of is what diameter rivets and material type are recommended for riveting stuff in the car. Google didn't have any quick and easy answers.... I did get that the outside jacket material of the rivet should be steel, as Al can cause the steel to corrode.

Maybe I'll spring for the better quality one than the Kincrome one (at $25).
Do you guys usually use 1/8" rivets the 4.1, 4.2 etc...type? or go thicker? You can view topic.
