Yeah I was a bit concerned with his user name but I bought complete setup of -8 earls hoses and fittings and malpassi reg for my webers for $70, they run all the way from carbs to the tank. I guess about $500 worth of parts and I couldnt resist the purchase. Hopefully he sends them now Ive disputed.

Does anyone know a seller Utool1? '
He has just received neg feedback from a buyer who bought the last item before me he's paid and not received and cant contact seller and im borderline on taking the same action, I've paid, he's received the money and marked that on the ad but just wont send the item and now wont answer his phone or reply to email or ebay messages. I paid by direct deposit so I can get my money back somehow but I would much perfer my item. Now I have to wait 10 days for him to reply to my dispute before I can take further action.

As i was saying the other day,i purchased a seat from SoldSmart, fixed back on a 5 position frame. No frame arrived with the seat as advertised-so being a cranky old bastard i cracked it big time. After much too and fro neg. feedback AGAINST ME FOR COMPLAINING! Three offers of partial refunds(each larger than the last)i decided to play thier game to get a partial refund and have my neg. feedback withdrawn so i don't look like a dickhead to others.
Well today it has appeared in my bank.At the end of the day it's no big deal for me to knock up a frame which would be better than thier crap any way,but the whole issue went to principal when they tried to duck shove thier responsability and blame the Chinese supplier who most likely did stuff up.I notice these seats have been pulled off thier site now.So there it is guys,SOLDSMART be very carefull what you get from them, and the delivery charges are outrages,i was in the transport industry for a while and know the rates

i stand by my previous comment,
ebay failed to notify me that the seller was fraudulant even after he had been caught and his account cancelled. I waited for a week thinking that it was all just a missunderstanding, before i realised that i was now $500 out of pocket

I see it from both sides, going through a situation now where seller (and i dont doubt it) has sent payment but i havent recived it. He probably thinks im a scammer but damn, im not. too honest for my own good.
Also have given neg feed back in comment but green light on transaction once only. Bought something and paid good $$$ for postage to have it dropped off on my old huse inext to the bin in a plastic bag (a ripped and old one at that). Not happy then the guy sends me messages that i cracked it over door to door service. Ebays is ok, treat it with caution (buyer beware) same as every classifieds section of trading post.

I have never had a problem, nor given or recieved negative feedback.
But i do agree with Bert and Sidedraught that the feedback has its flaws to the point of being pointless. I dont bother giving feedback much anymore. One seller i purchased from, sent me an email 3 weeks later asking that I leave feedback and they would then do the same for me. I replied to him ' Mate you waited 3 days to receive my money and see my good faith. You had nothing to lose. I sent money and waited a week to receive my goods and see your good faith. I had money to lose. Now tell me why I should give you feedback without you give me feedback first? No reply. Feedback is pointless unless the seller is required to give feedback first.

The only bad thing I can report is when I won something from a 'business' & they sent the wrong part. I rang & they took back the part, then advised that my part had been 'lost'
They offered a full refund, but I politely asked that they get off their backsides & go find the bloody thing. I bid well, I paid promptly, all I want is what I paid for. Nil result, & I have recently bought the right bit from another source, [at a lower price too] so will be accepting the full refund offer with a note expressing bitter disappointment at the way they do business. If that's as bad as it gets, then I am probably doing OK I guess.

F*%k u ebay Hang on a minute guys, its like Dattodude says, Ebay is just like the trading post, its not ripping anybody off. Ebay just is a form of classified advertising to put sellers and buyers in touch with each other. You cant go running to Ebay everytime you have a bad transaction they have millions of listings everyday you have to take responsibility for yourselves, Ebay is basically just a computer program. There are scammers everywhere , Ebay is no different, you still have to use the same caution you would in everyday life. At least another Ebayer got in touch with you to tell you to watch out, 99.9% of the guys you meet on there are genuine and try to help each other. The feedback system has its flaws but its better than nothing. In over four hundered transactions I have never had to leave anyone negative feedback, I have probably been lucky, but I reckon Ebay is the greatest boon to the classic car enthusiest ever and you should perservere with it and not give up over one or two bad incidents.
