any ideas then? i can pick up the datsun sunny for about $200, it was used as a bit of a bush basher but the bloke that owns it doesnt have the time or money to make it road worthy again. everything works fine.

No. they are rear drum. There are lots of better brake conversions you can do.

so are they disc brakes front and back? i have a lot of time on my hands so i can play around a far bit.

sunny brakes arent really that good

thanks, goin to check the sunny this arvo. could pick it up for about $200 or less caue a mate knows the bloke. i forgot to mention that i was gonna play around with a turbo and wanted that extra stopping power older style drum brakes might struggle with...

Shouldn't need power assistance. Swap strut tops and springs onto the sunny set up and bolt everything in including lower control arms and tie rods for extra length so you dont run out of tie rod when getting the wheels aligned.
You will need some 13's to go on the new setup.

just picked up a datsun 1200 and the slave cylinders as well as the master are a lil broken as far as i am aware. i can pick up an old datsun sunni, so are the struts interchangeable? i was gonna change the drum brake system to discs but it was suggested i used a power assistance braking kit. any ideas?
