It is for Air conditioning. Most crank pulleys have a single belt groove, so someone may have replaced the engine. Does the engine number match the underhood plate number?

Can anyone tell me what the second pully is for on the front of the crank pully (harmonic balancer)? This engine is out of a '71 1200 coupe and I don't believe it had A/C.
