CA20 box should handle the power of a CA18DET with minor mods no worries.

Well, change of tactic, after picking up the coupe, it is TOOOO good to butcher, so will be getting an A14 back in. Then just cruise in style!!!

Thanks Dattodude, thats just what I wanted to hear! The wiring is there, but not hooked up, so will save me the trouble.

yes, a CA20->ca18 transplant will be 'mostly' as easy as switching out blocks and rewiring.
I don't expect clearance at the back of the head will be an issue.

Guys, I have just bought a Sunny B310 coupe with a ca20 fitted. Will a ca18 use the same mounts for the front crossmember and have the same gearbox bolt pattern? Any help will be apreciated!
