You need the VIN. The radio code is specific to the car. So ring your mate you got it off. Get the vin and then ring your local Nissan dealer. Ask for parts then give them the VIN and he should come back with the code. Or look in the silvias handbook somewhere

That's great. It's a nice looking radio in 'as new condition', and it would be a waste to just chuck it out.
Plus I paid $50 for it, and that money could have been better spent on beer. I'd understand if your mate doesn't want to help. I'm certain that it's not hot. Just bought from a friend who was too lazy to get the VIN/code from his mate...as he said he would. Cheers, Chris

Hey Guys,
I'm hoping one of our good friends online here works for Nissan in Australia. I bought an S15 CD headunit off a friend of a friend that had upgraded. Stupid thing has a CD Code, which is giving me a headache. Unit : FMS Audio SY702 Made in Malaysia Model: B8185-6M901 S/N 0003822 I don't have the VIN of the car. I'm deciding whether or not to throw it out. I'm hesitant to just throw it out, because it had almost no use before it was replaced. Cheers, Chris You can view topic.
