Its a switch on the dash.
The pump will run if the switch is "ON" AND there is oil pressure OR the little overide button is pressed. Do you need it? I don't know. At this point I should probably declare that I still don't have an electric fuel pump. My car was in pieces a while back and I decided it was easier to add the wiring at that point for future use. I did however check to see if the wiring worked and it did and still does.

Bsng... Lpg safety switch is a fantastic cheap choice for the relay. I have got one here you can have if you want Jordan.

You can get relays that are used in cars running on gas that rely on a tacho signal from -ve coil terminal to remain switched on. Once your engine stops, the relay cuts power to the pump. And they prime the fuel system for a few seconds as soon as you switch the ignition on as well.

Hey thanks guys for the info, I appreciate it. Nice drawing :). Its dark now, so I'll have to have a look another day. We fiddled with it today and couldnt get it working correctly, but now I got some info.
No Don, got an engineers report, and it failed, now I'm fixing the stuff the engineer picked, one of them being a fuel relay cut off. I still can't believe he picked a hole in the carpet.

That's a smart idea ang. It's easy with efi computers because they will have some funciton in them that will stop runnign the fuel pump when the motor stops. Don't just wire it up to the ignition, it will be running if the engine stops for any reason. If you have a stack, more importantly, you don't want the fuel pump to be pumping fuel to a potential fuel leak or fire.

ok buddy 87 on relay goes to fuel pump positive, 85 is a ground to body, 30 is positive battery, n 86 is switch power etc coil ignition switch being a low pressure pump it would be wise to put a 7.5 amp fuse in circuit!
