I reckon your on the money there. If the wife were to 'force' me to sell a project she didn't agree with then the same would probably happen. At $5 a pop to 'sell' your $15K ute then it is cheaper than a jail term for having your wife bashed by Chopper Reid. (not that I endorse such behavior but we are talking about datsuns)

15,000.00 AUD = 109,322.54 ZAR

For that money I would rather buy a new 2008 Ute here in South Africa and still have plenty of money left for extras like mags, performance exhausts, cams, sidedraughts and nice seats. Then still have enough money for a couple cases Castle.

NOT AGAIN!!!!!

This guy has his ute on again???

The problem driving up the price on cars/parts there has to be a demand for the parts, i don't think he'll get any bids, i saw a ute advitised recently(i think it was coops ute?) he wanted $13 500 and it had a CA18 in it and this ute has only an A12 possibly alot of k's looks like its an escort vehicle.
The good thing about it is we as datsun fanatics know the roughly the right price of parts/cars because we control the supply and demand, if the price is to much no one will bid, utes are going from between $3000 and $5000 for a decent ute and parts aren't that rare at the moment some parts are(like 5-speed gear boxes)so prices are subject to demand.

I wish this guy luck if he gets the price good on him, but i doubt it very much! thats the thing about ebay, you just never know!

But surely if people are buying the parts, cars etc at the high prices they are in fact worth that much as people are willing to fork out the money.

I can see where you are coming from and to an extent I agree, but if this guy has poured all his money into it and spent countless hours on it I wouldn't expect anything but a high price to be put on it.

clyons8, totally agree... though I do agree with some of the other higher priced parts as an alternate option is also high.
