Being 10x1 metric thread you won't get a HElla or Narva one
VW is the way to go as they run a metric switch COupes had the switch on the pedal Sedans, utes, wagons all had it on the T piece block on the firewall

thats the one..
on the union in the bay, you can fit a non genuine on, they have them in the Narva or Hella catalouge.. a spring type one on the brake pedal would prolly do the job..

Brake light switch on a Datsun 1000

Can anyone tell me where the brake light switch is on a Datsun 1000, i mean the switch to turn on the brake lights after you put your foot on the brake. The guy i bought the car off has had a makeshift switch that you have to switch on when you put your foot on the brake. This makes it mighty difficult when your changing gear and using the indicators. I can't see a switch on the top of the brake pedal and the only other place i could see would be a hydrolic switch on the brake line in the engine bay. If this is the case how do you fix the switch or where do you get a new one.
