im only getting second tyres, from the cheap tyre work shops, coz im getting rims later on,

so im gonna try 195 45 15, seeing as people say there 195 50 touch the front, and thats with stanza front end, im runing the 120y struts with s13 brakes which brings the front out by i think 3mm each side,

I have run 185/55/15 front and 195/55/15 rears with no probs , i hadm disc brake front end using stanza struts.

i have tried both 195/50 and 195/45s on trx rims and found that the 195/50 did hit on the front edge of the gaurd. im running shortened stanza struts and lower control arms. so my recomendation is 195/45r15.

On my ute with 120Y struts I ran the 195/45 rubber with no probs.

I wanted to go 185/40, but the price was off putting. Something like $40-$50 more each, and I get my tyres cheap.

i run the same 195/50/15 on trx rims with stanza struts, its rub a couple of times on decent lock with a big bump, just touches the paint. I put the 12" kidney beans on today and actually liked the "feel" of them a lot better.

U can go down to a 165/50/15 if you want something real close to the original rolling diameter, but a decent brand 195/50/15 will work, thats what ive got on my ute, but it every so often touches the front bottom corner of the wheel arch of the guard. I run a stanza front disc set up atm.
You could also try a 185/55/15, im swapping to these, i just have to fit them. U could even go for a 175/55 i think.

Ultimately i would be fitting the 165/50/15's on the front(potenzas) and probably 185 potenzas on the back or maybe a 195/45 as they are grippy and you dont really need much more with a decent tyre, but they are up around the 200 mark a piece. But u will generally need to order them in so testing may not be an option. Most tyre shops wont carry the more uncommon sizes, but u can get them.

if you've got the bare rims ready to go, maybe go to a small tyre shop on a slow day and see if they'll trial fit a few different sizes for you to see what works best. A couple of shops in canberra have done that for me and seemed happy to do so.

With absolutely no supporting evidence I would recommend 195/45s on the front and 195/50s on the back.
