Go for a winters quickchange all alloy then you have two ratios, one for the aircraft strip and the other for the road at the turn of a lever.

Let's see. It has a stock 20b 2 piece E-shaft. Yes, it will be driven on the street/ registered, but I live in Okinawa Japan, so it really isn't a big deal. ####, you walk out the front door of the shop and cross the street and you are in the city police station. I remember reading about Dr Felix Wankel, the guy who invented the rotary, and how while he was first working on the project almost to the point of completion, he was abducted by Hitlers army and forced to work for Ze Germans to design wepons of war and if it hadn't been for world war 2 then the 10A might have been in production in the early 1950's. Just in case anyone was wondering why on the casting of a mazda rotary housing you will find 'wankel' in the casting.

I have to admit,i'm a bit partial to the odd rotor or two(i've owned several)I also have to say i believe Mazda was the only company willing to rock the establishment,as the big three and others knew the potential of these things (hence why they collectevly took up so many patents)to potentially bring the old guard to it's knees.....they are just so bloody simple!Yes they had early issues,but what newish invention does'nt.
I once pulled a 13B down,replaced everything with new bits,and back together in under 4 hours without formal training just a very good workshop manual.Now imagine the ramifications of that in the motor industry.
