Hmmm.... I don't think any one has ever measured it. It's the same size as Austin/Morris A12 if that helps...

A12 Engine External Dimensions
Locost1200
Posted on: 2008/7/30 20:18
Hi All,
I'm a new member, just signed up, but I'm a long time Datsun nut. I'm planning out a build of a Locost (Clubman/Lotus 7 replica) and I want to use the drivertrain from a Datsun B310. I'm working with some 3D CAD models now to get the basic layout of the car before I start building the real thing. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might find some dimensional drawings of a basic A12 engine and transmission. I don't need anything extremely detailed, really just an overall height of engine, overall width at oil pan and at headgasket and diameter of bellhousing, diameter of transmission case, and overall length. Basically just enough dimensions that I can draw up a basic plug to stick in the model of the chassis so I can make sure my frame design is about right and that my body work is tall enough. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! -James- You can view topic.
