there is a vg30e (sohc) in a 120y drag racing in perth. there is plenty of room looks like it was born in there.
datto only has half a dozen wires if you cant sort that out your never going to get a conversion finished dazza

maybe a good idea, the dimensions are huge tho , fills the engine bay in a big Nissan Cedric. I knew of one in a 720. they drink like a V8, but bulletproof internals can support huge hp.

Tearing out all the wiring???
thats a bit of overkill isn't it? there would only be a minor problem with the wiring, it doesn't take much for something to go wrong when it comes to electrics. My advice is take it to auto electrics place shouldn't cost that much to fix, couple of hundred at the most. If you don't want to get it towed, look in the yellow pages, and see if you have a mobile auto elec in your area. You have a starter motor problem from memory? take the starter motor out, and take that to your local auto elec he should be able to test it, if its not that you have to get the wiring and relays looked at. Don't give up! if we all gave up when we faced difficulties we would all be walking everywhere.

hahaha thats gold, its takes about a half hour to change the dash and engine loom in a 1200. takes alot longer to do a full engine conversion and then also change both looms and modify them to run the new engine
and why in the hell would you put a 6 cylinder in a 1200 for a road car, ive your going to kill the handling and have no chance of rego or engineers why not go a v8?

You have an electrical problem that you can't seem to fix, so you want to tackle a dead end project with a six cylinder conversion instead. Now why didn't I think of that.

I'm thinking rewiring it would be a whole lot cheaper, but you'll end up having a weapon if you do a conversion of some sort.
