Around $100, don't go to repco and you will save some money. Single or twin master?

Nissan dealers also list the hoses.
If replacing hoses, then be sure to replace all three of the heater hoses too as they deteriorate just the same as radiator hoses.

Just ask for the correct hoses at your parts store and they should be able to order or have them instock.
When you have the hoses off with the heater on flush the engine and radiator with the garden hose until you see nice clean water. Add new coolant start her up and wait for thermostat to open (heater still on) and top up wait for all air to leave the system then take it for a spin. get back let it cool and check levels, should be about an inch under fill neck to allow for expansion, if you have overflow bottle then forget last bit and check overflow bottle is full. If you still have crud floating around in the radiator, get half a coke bottle like a funnel and put that in the rad filler and fill it with coolant, crud will float to the top of bottle and you can scoop it out.

REPCO or bursons should carry them, if not they will be able to order them in. Any spare part place should carry these.
I have gotten alot of things for my 1200 coupe from REPCO

May have been the overflow hose....
If you dont have one and it goes into an overflow bottle possably the preasure was high and a hose started leaking and for the rest of your drive the preasure never got that high again??? My tip is it would have been your overflow hose letting the water out.

sure it isnt the first time your car has got to full operating temp and the coolant came out the overflow?
If its ca,or later model setup like i run, should have a radiator resivoir fitted too for the recovery type cooling system. how much water/coolant was lost, 500ml or litres?

I was driving home my datsun wagon lastnight stopped after about 10 minutes to check everything and water and steam was pissing out of the bottom of the radiator(didnt look that closeley so not sure exactly where it was leaking from). It was very cold and dark and raining a little so i just topped the radiator up and kept going.
I stopped every five minutes and it wasn't leaking again. I stopped bout five times on the way home and it didnt lose any water over the trip. ####ed if I know why it was leaking just the one time?? The hoses are pretty old so I am hoping this might be why. Any1 have any ideas why this could be? Also it was the first time its been able to go for a deacent run. The steering is really light at bout 50 to 60 mph is this the case in all early 1200s? You can view topic.
