Yeah what pepper said and try and get something that has been garaged (Dry stored)and away from coastal areas the salt air is evil.

If they start when you turn the key and stop when you put your foot on the brake thats a good thing.
Rust is important but can be hard to spot so best take someone along who knows about cars and who doesnt have their heart involved in the transaction like you will.

rust would be my main concern if i was buying anothery.
check the drains from the bonnet vents, the top corners of the engine bay(around the compliance plate and id plate) rear quarters and get underneath and see if it still has a floor. how much are you looking atr spending? that will be a big factor in what you get.

goin to have a look at a 1200 ute on the wknd to possibley buy as my first car. Truth be told, im just a young fella that knows sfa about cars, but im eager to learn. So, could anyone please give me some advice at what i should be lookin at when i view the car to lessen the chances of me ending up with a ####box?
