It's a possibility, i'm going to get as much out of it as it is, then see what happens.

It's a fresh motor so it should last for a little while longer, we'll see what happens.

good choice on keeping it A. Would you ever consider straight LPG? then intercooling works better and higher boost is possible.

I am getting it all ready hopfully for the datsun nationals. So, someone of you will like to know that i'm sticking with the turbo A-series, for the time being. well, for the datnats anyway.

But after that? who knows? anything is possible!

thanks for the suggestions!

143.7kw@wheels with a 600kg B10 should be a tad violent

This is to keep it all lightweight Nissan and under 2ltr class which you have to consider 1275cc goes over the calculation.
Therefore crank definitely needs machining anyway to fit e15et
rods and forged pistons for safety under high boost.

If capacity is not an issue then for size and weight you would have to consider the HR15DE
which recently went on ebay for 600au on a front cut.
Tiidas are crashed every couple of weeks and the HR16DE are available.
The good thing is they are as small as the sandcast cg13 because these newer engines are pressure diecast alloy.
Problem is vvt control as personally only interested in non computerised hardware. eg. lpg or SUs with meth inj.

GO THE CG13! I definitely want to have a play around with one of these motors one day.
D do you have any website to look at showing some examples of these big hp motor cg's?

Im thinking steveo to use a T50 and develop the a12 a little further for boost or use a cg13 with a de-stroked crank for 1.170 or whatever the calculation is to stay in the under 2ltr class.
The cg13 is about 25-30kg lighter than an a14 also and its sand cast alloy not pressure die cast alloy so very thick alloy block like Feral mentioned in the past a mini-SR20De version.
In Japan and the states big hp is being made by these little beasts and many after-market parts now available.

Basically the same thing goes for Aussie CAMS Sports Sedans.
Engines must have come from available 4 wheelers.
The only class that will allow things like the Hyubusa engine is the open sports car class, shame really cause i reckon we'd all use them.

IPRA requires you to run a block with the same amount of cylinders from the same manufacturer as the car, crossmember cannot be modified, only engine mounts so that also makes things harder with a tall motor.
