Sometimes a supplier will give you a thin 8mm seal to do the job when it needs a seal that is about 15mm thick. Most of the yokes are the same spline and OD so it shouldn't be a drama unless there is a problem with the yoke itself. Or casing. Was the alloy damaged when removing the old seal? Is the oil definately coming from the seal area or from the centre of the yoke. they have a welsh plug that sometimes can leak or even get damaged.

OK - Done some checking. Stanza Yoke is 35 mm

I used a RB Gearbox seal (Stumpy) As apparantly this is the same as the CA Box. Well thats what my part supplier said.

The Stanza Yoke I have measures 34.89 mm. Is this close enought to 35mm as surely the tollerances are not that fine. At this point I and thinking I should try a different Seal.

Any Thoughts ? Cheers

My 1200 lost all of it's gearbox oil on the weekend and it was a quick end to the cruise.

I have the CA 5 speed with a Stanza tail shaft. It is leaking at the seal around the yoke.

it is a new seal, which accepts a 30 mm outside diameter yoke. Can someone confirm if a Stanza yoke is 30 mm.

Or what Seal part number others have used in this application.

Cheers
