you wont blow the turbo just the engine
throttle body has ports but some are before throttle plate and some after. if it spikes when you shut the throttle its the wrong hole its probably not that critical

the best place is on the throttle body..
most people just block it off.. its like underneath it nearly

Definately want to plumb it in on manifold.
Hose from turbo to wastegate has failed on two occassions now and dont want to blow turbo. Plus taking boost reading from here will make gauge fluctuate a bit to much.

any line seeing boost will do but remember if you get a leak in the boost controller line it will increase boost. maybe better to plumb into manifold somewhere

Installing a boost gauge on my CA18DET. The engine is stock and the Autometer gauge has both boost and vac increments.
So where is the best spot on the CA to plumb it in? Is there somewhere on the manifold that has boost and vac? You can view topic.
