you often see them on ebay, the only drawback is that postage is just as much as the hinge and you will pay in excess of 100aud per hinge.

You can buy new hinges just not the rebuild kit.

or, you can just adjust the hinges against each other to remove the free play. That ussually lasts long enough to pass a roadworthy, or sell the car. lol.

As Im sure you are aware its a 2 piece hinge with a pin joining the two together. In one of the pieces their is a plastic slieve/collet which wears out.
To my knowledge this plastic part is NLA. However I knoced the pin out and machined up 2 new brass slieves on the lathe and it works a treat. You could use nylon. Its a 15min job for someone with access to a metal lathe.

Remove door hinges and get them rebuild at a local engineering shop. That is what I did.
Now I can close any of the 4 doors on my sedan with the use of one finger. The pin gets worn that the hinge swings at.

The door hinges on my little ute have got a fair bit of play in them. Is there a kit available to rebuild them ? What did you do to remedy them
