if you check my build thread it shows how i shaved mine and used a vz commodore ute mechanism. its very easy and looks great

yeah was going to weld it shut but changed my mind before it got painted a year ago , now think im going to paint it again, this time at my mates panel shop not in the garage! going to paint it the white pearl you see on the mazda sp3 or what ever they are .
oh and perth ute im liking the build nice work mate just about to start my ca18det conversion, im going to start my build topic in the next week or two.

check the build threads there some neat ways of doing it or be a man and weld it shut lol

just seeing what other people are using to latch the tailgate on once shaved i cant find anything that works well and keeps the tailgate flush to the quarter panel, pics would be great!!
