Yeah its been done nothing complicated about it. See supafattos coupe amongst others his has a real nice sedan grille on it. I prefer the sedan grille on all 1200's Just a personal preference i guess.

Yes, sure is possible, and is done in Japan to nearly all Datsun 1200 trucks (change from Coupe-type grille to Sedan grille). Not too difficult.

1. Fit one L-shaped bracket to center top of front body

2. Drill four holes in radiator support

3. Fit two thin brackets to back of sedan grille

4. Screw grille with sheet loops to front of car

Also need to fit the headlight surrounds. No pics.

I think it's easier than it is to fit a coupe grill to a sedan.
Will require some bodywork/painting when you remove the coupe's grill mounting tabs.

I believe the mounting points on the front panel for a sedan will still be there on the coupe from panel. You'll just need to get the grill mounting nylon bits that push into the square holes. The 120Y uses a lot of the same parts.

I was wondering if it was possible to put the Sedan metal grill on a Coupe? I was thinking I don't like the plastic one much. Looks to 80's IMO.
