Cheers, i'm going to look at one tomoro, one of Short-Coupe's, its all in parts so i can see the bore etc, maybe buy some forgies etc we'll see, just gonna fiddle for a while i think.

mate just a hot tip, with 180's and silvia's being the age they are, you're almost better off buying a whole car. i saw a 180sx with ca18det low kms for 1200 bux on boostcruising.com just the other day and theres ALOT of ca18 stuff in the parts section. if you're willing to take you're time and wait for the right stuff you can do a ca convo pretty damn cheap.

if i had to do my convo again id buy a 2nd hand built motor (or a #OOPS# one in need of recon and do it myself), get a microtech and then get kev rowley or someone else in the know to do the loom work for me, and a 2nd hand turbo in good nic.

you can buy a gearbox for $100 and they'll last for ages so long as you arent pumping ridiculous power though em.

motors- well most of em need a recon anyways so dont pay too much for one unless you know its in good nic. (in saying that my motor hasnt missed a beat for 3 years unknown kms)
if you're goin a bigger turbo (you know you'll want too), get a custom manifold (they come up 2nd hand now n then) with a high mount for a bit extra coin.

computer... well microtech is my choice but not everyones. once again keep a look out and you might get a good deal 2nd hand..
