slightly on topic,
what is the ideal side clearance between the bushes and the rocker posts/rocker arms when the springs on the rocker arms have been replaced with bushes?

I believe the occasion rubbing is not a problem.
At high RPMs (8000 RPM), the rocker shaft deflects and rockers move from side to side. This is solved with the Rocker Shaft Spacers and careful tighting (torque wrenc) of the shaft.

Hi there as far as I know it should work unless your gx head has been skimmed altot which may cause your push rods to become to long. Are they bent at all. As for bearing I know alot of the guy use ACL. Good luck with solving the problem Im gona be corrected but thats what I love about this forum you learn new things everyday!

I took my A14 out for a freshen up ,and found that the push rods had been rubbing on the block,
dont know why this is happening do you need differnt push rods when running a GX head and big cam??? or just grind a bit out of the block??? Also what type of bearings/rings are people using in the A series? any help or suggestions welcome. and where is a good place in sydney to get them??? You can view topic.
