I went for a ride in dattodevils ute on saturday, which has a topgear lsd in it. I must say that I'm very impressed buy how much more predictable that diff made it. If I drove my 1200 (SSL H165)like Damon was driving his, We woulda ended up facing back the way we started.

or you could shorten some other kind of diff if you also want some extra strength. hilux or r31 skyline diff for example. should be able to get one shortened for around $1000 and then the LSDs are only a couple of hundred usually

They do come up for sale in Japan regularly but it will cost you about $2000, let me know if this is within your budget and I will keep an eye out.
