stanza brakes are bigger than 1200 ones...but you would want bigger than stanza if you are pulling up a 1200 with a 13b in it. but you can always adapt other brakes to them, for instance i have r32 calipers and r33 discs on stanza struts in my 1200
or you can also get hilux 4 piston calipers that will bolt straight onto stanza struts stanza diff centre is the same strength, but will be 3.7 or 3.9 ratio compared to the utes 4.11

thanks everyone, im not too sure what im doin yet because i have a 13b rotary sitting here which i got for my ute to do the conversion. but im getting this stanza dropped off some time this mornin and just stripping it and then ill decide what i want to keep.
what about the stanza brakes? are they any better than the 1200? and i know someone said that the diff center out of the stanza will fit into my ute, but is it any stronger than the standard ute diff? also if anyone needs stanza parts, let me know because i will be basically stripping it and getting rid of it.

yes the 240z shocks work well in the shortened strut, unless you go too low and they bottom out (as would any shock).
Im running 240z gas shocks and 175lb springs and they are well suited, the shocks could even be good with a 200lb spring.

engine and box can be fitted into the 1200...but really better getting an L18 or L20b and 5 speed box if the stanza one is a 4 speed
what year is your ute, if its later than 76 then it will have all the stanza arms and stuff in the front of it already. if that is the cas you just need to use the stanza balljoints, steering arms, outer tierod ends and tie rods then you will be able to bolt the stanza struts in if its an early ute, then you use the stanza lower control arms also, and you will need to buy late ute or late 120y castor rods you can cut the stanza struts down to get a decent amount of travel, cutting them down to suit a 240z insert gives decent travel you can cut the stanza engine mounts off the crossmember and mod them to suit the 1200 crossmember to fit the L series can use stanza clutch stuff, but your better off using toyota stuff under the dash

You best off using the stanza front end, getting struts from a datsun/nissan with vented discs, 280zx, R30, R31 bluebird etc and then using the stanza front peices to adapt it all together.
Get the whole stanza, that way you can pick the engine mounts off the stanza crossmember to fit the l-series in use the tailshaft to cut down. Stanza diff centre will fit your ute.

ok. so what will i need to buy to make the stanza struts fit good? or can i make them fit myself? ill let you know about the dash, im going to have a look at it in the morning, so if i get it ill be stripping most of it. so ill let you know how it is. any other info on anything that fits straight into the 1200?

You can use the stanza stuff, you need all lower arms and such but the struts are tall causing the 1200 to bottom out if you want to lower the car at all.
