Common problem with any leaf spring rear, If the shocks are new monroe or gabriel gas they are too hard and not absorbing any of the tramp, especially in a ute with no weight in the rear.

Try some good quality oil dampners, tokico, koni etc or kyb oil/gas assist are well priced also.

Do you have rubber or urethane bushes in it? The Sunny Coupe I race was axle tramping until I fitted urethane bushes. I changed springs, shocks & tyres until I remembered that I had nolathane bushes in my old Sunny. All my 1200 race cars had the urethane bushes, too.

I had a half rear leaf put it, from just behind the diff the to front... Helped big time, it still tramps a little when you have alot of grip. (really only when I was doing a skid at the drags) So I'm goin to put another half leaf in and that should sort that out. At a $100 a go it's nice and cheap
All else fails up the power so it can't get grip and it won't tramp

caltrack setup will sort this out. i did a home made caltrack setup for my ute and it works really well.

can you weld? a guy up here in brisbane make sprint car chassis, he did rods out of chrome moly for me, the rest is a machined solid steel bush and laser cut 3mm plate steel or the other parts

yeah it done it before i put the diff in.
my car has been off the road since the start of the year. ive done everything to the car. engine, drive train, rear end. it makes between 200 and 250 hp
tyres are just street tyres.

if i nail it in 3rd gear it will tramp.

im thinkin of putting a caltrack in.

looking to see if anyone has done so and where to get one from
