ok so here we go guys i have sorted the problem i think
i ended up putting on a 180 holley and then it just drove fine it doesnt starve on fuel anymore well this is my test from driving it but i am yet to stick it back on the dyno to find out for sure
however i did notice when modifying my airbox to accomodate the holleyi found that the meta had cracked and split just on random bits of flat surface so i repaired these cracks modified the box and it drove fine but seemed to have less power then the weber so installed a bov i thought that then it would b able to release the preassure wen needed to hopefully not split my airbox again...

now the only drama is that it runns real hot and i am not running an intercooler if i run one would this help? or should i get a new radiator to help with this????

any help apreciated thanx andy

hey man so are u running twin webars?

cause i had everything setup the same but with single weber holley blue pump and malpassi reg and no blow off valve

edit; ernie is there any chance u could put pics up?

and i decided lastnight to try a holley so i got a 180 holley and cleaned that and stuck it on lastnight but now tonight im going to get it runnin na again then try the poorly modded had i made to fit the holley and c how that goes?

Andy,
It could be as simple as not getting enough fuel through a single carb although I have seen single carb turbo setups.
This is my setup from back to front:

1. Stock outlet nipple on gas tank removed and a 5/16 inch nipple welded in.
2. ProComp 15 psi fuel pump mounted under car in the back with fuel filter. 5/16 inch rubber fuel line.
3. 5/16 inch fuel line from rear of car to the fire wall in engine bay.
4. Mallory Vacuum fuel pressure regulator
5. (2) 1/4 rubber fuel lines from regulator to (2) Weber 32/36 carbs.
6. Fuel return line from fuel regulator back to the tank using old fuel line. Connected to the top of tank.
7. Vacuum line from intake below the carbs (not connected to the carbs) to fuel regulator.
8. Plastic Floats, 120 jets on primarys and 140 jets on secondarys.
9. Fuel Regulator set to 8 psi at idle.
10. Blow-through supercharger. Max boost 10 psi. Boost gauge connected below the carbs.
11. Vacuum activated Blow-Off Valve. Vacuum hose connected below the carbs on intake.

I use to have leanout until I installed the pump and regulator. Now I get as much fuel as I need.
Each of the webers is running about 300 CFM so a 600 CFM Holley may be your answer.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.
Ernie

i used my old fuel line as a return and ran a new one with 10mm fuel line

I dont know if carb and efi works the same but have you hooked up your malpassi to your return line I now of guys with efi cars that have mixed that up and hooked it up to the supply. Then it doesnt work. But like I said dont know if a carb setup works the same

the first engine used to breath heaps of smoke the whole time i had it even b4 the turbo

but the fuel reg came with no instructions but is hooked up correctly and i cant c the fuel pres guage wen i drive but if i rev it it does go up in psi and i do not have that vent blocked anymore
so thats why i cant figure out why it still leans out?

im runnin holy blue a r/r reg and primary jet a 120 and secondary a 140

What a dogs breakfast. Lets get one thing straight. Have you blocked the fuel bowl breather vent from inside the carby? If you have, that is a big mistake. The carby will rely on this to pressurise the fuel bowl under pressure. This is why you need the rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Bas setting should be around 5 psi. With the rising rate fuel regulator, you can test it with your low pressure fuel guage, as boost starts to increase the fuel pressure should increase also. For every 1 psi of turbo pressure the fuel pressure should rise 1psi. If this is not the case the regulator is either not hooked up correctly or not working(rare). The arrows should not be your instruction manual, use the actual instruction manual. There is no need to drill any extra holes in your carby.

Another important piece of the puzzle is the timing. The base timing should be set around 18 degrees with a total advance of 30 degrees. Or lock the dizzy and set the base timing at approx 20 degrees. Your first engine was not a dud before the turbo went on. It failed as a direct result of not setting up correctly. Your A14 has probably done it's breakfast already if you have run it leaning out like before.

iv been debating going holly cause i just can figure this weber out and apparently they are easier to do a blow through setup and also the same flange as a weber?? well some are

i dont have the fuel the wrong way either the malpassi is clearly marked with arrows im running a base fuel psi of 8
