I'd be quite interested to hear how one of these would run with a little boost, nothing drastic.
I think you'd obtain a pretty powerful engine with good fuel economy.

Looks like J13 from a Datsun 510 pickup, circa 1968.

That looks to be a J series engine.
Big heavy buggers (iron head) that never die, not your typical high performer but certainly hard working engines that.

G'day, I have another question I can't answer. I found an add for a datsun engine with this picture but I can't figure out what it is. Looks different to my A series. Any one else know?
