for memory the 620 & 720 had the datsun stamped in the t/gate, but in saying that i has seen in my travels a 1200ute the same rear....maybe a aftermarket thing!?

No tailgate lettering

No floor mat under the seats. No stone chip covering. The Sunny Truck is a commercial utility vehicle, light, inexpensive and reliable.

It should have a 4.11 gear H165, for hauling heavy loads up steep hills. Yet still cruises all day long at 110 kph.

Thanks. Couple more questions. WOuld the tailgate have had lettering on it originally, perhaps NISSAN?
What wheel trims would it have had, (I presume the wheels were 12 inch steel) All the pics on the internet seem to be of modified trucks.
There is no floor mat in the rear area of the cab, is this normal? Truck has way more road noise than a B110, B210 etc. The underside of the truck seems to have no stonechip type coating which may be another reason for the noise, yuo can hear every stone coming off the tyres.

Where would the Jack be stowed, and is it the same jack as a B110 etc? (mine is missing)

REAR AXLE. Looks similar to a B210 one apart from the wheel cylinders are the dual piston type rather than the old sliding type, but what diff is it, is it H150? The gearing feels lower than a sedan, could it be 4.1 or perhaps even 4.3? Truck is noisy and slow compared to sedans/wagons/coupes.

Truck seems to corner amazingly well, are the front springs/shocks heavier duty than the
B110?
How much weight is this truck specified to carry?

Was the metal any more rust resistant than the early cars, did they use different metal, or better primers or any galvanising on the bed etc? Surprised how unrusty my truck is.

Thanks!

See these Tech Wiki articles:
- B120
- Sunny Truck Model Changes
- Grille
October 1989 is them the final model change occured with square headlights, catalytic convertor and all.

1978 is when the intermittent wiper became standard (as i recall)

Hi folks, not been on here for , well, years, Sold my 180Y a while back but today I found a 1200 ute (very rare in UK) so I bought it.

Truck is a 1991 1171cc 4 speed short bed.

and I have noticed loads of differences to the old B110s (which they did sell here '71 to '73)

It has for example intermittent wipe, electronic ignition, cat, better rear brakes (twin piston cyl, auto adjust) and floating front calipers.

Anyone know what the calipers are, what pads they take (same as any other Nissans? )
Looks like truck originally had square headlamps. Anyone know when they changed from round?

Anyone know if this is just a normal A12 engine, manifold and carb are completely different to the old skool Datsun A12. Ignition was set at 5°. I have moved it to 15° and it is much happier. (97 octane)
