Probably the best idea for now. I've always wanted twin carbs on a Datto. It's just crappy right now. Took hours to sort through and trace all the vac lines to source.

The US models were a complete mess. Stupid emissions >:|

US model Datsuns fail at the K.I.S.S principle

and also using good bumper bars principle :P

Man, that is spaghetti junction on steroids!

Best option...

Get a friendly aussie or kiwi datto owner to send you their old std carb and manifold from when they upgrade to twin sidies.. Loose all of the plumbing and still look standard to the uninitiated.

Probably a good idea. I've been reading through the "emissions" section of the Tech Wiki and I got a pretty good idea what I can pull. But I do think your right about getting it perfect first.

You can remove all of it, but you risk having it run worse than before.

My advise is to work on the rest of the car. Learn how to tune it up and get it running perfect before you experiment.

I know right? I was browsing the pictures and saw all these clean A series engines and now mine just looks pitiful. Only problem is, I'm not sure what I can remove.

IT's a total mess under my hood! Vac lines everywhere and crap. Who knows what all junk there is on these A15's that I can get rid of? Emission's and stuff like that. I'm trying to tidy it up a bit, but I don't want to remove something and it turn out to be vital.
