so all in all how much do you all think a standard 1200 coupe would weigh? over 700kg or below?

Yeah the Americans might use a different system...as I though 745 was a little high - but I've never actually weighed mine - the tip has a scale that must be at least +/- 20kg in resolution.

Although i remember with a skyline I had the tare weight was about 100kg less than the car really weighed

I know when I rang up the motor registry in the ACT they said that the heaviest model in the 1200 range (the wagon) had a tare weight of 720kg and the utes weigh 690kg so I guess it would be somewhere around this.

interesting? i will approach the weigh bridge boys on this one aswell i think. im not too sure how clued up or even intelligent they are up here for that matter. thanks for all your input guys, has been helpful.

748kg, no wonder that tiny four feels as smooth as a big six.

Average passenger has to be around the 70-80kg mark, I don't think it would expect more than 200kg of load on top of that...

So a guess of GVM could be weight + 80x4 + 200 = 520 on top of kerb weight.

All our corner weights at work are quoted with a driver inside, and GVM tells us what to load the car up to (we weigh it in our weighbridge unloaded to work out how many sandbags to chuck inside)

I'd guess that's the car with all fluids, but no people in it...

GVM is the car fully loaded with people and cargo - not sure what the carrying capacity of a 1200 is meant to be probably about 400kg?
