I found one cheaper and more available, the 140j violet(j710) clutch.

Congratulations. That should be the L14 engine with 63-series 4-speed or 5-speed. Most had 4-speeds.

But the spline size and diameter are nothing like the A series
So an L clutch isn't much good to you either

A-series engines don't have splines.

The 63A 5-speed for A-series engine uses the same input shaft diameter and splines as 63A 5-speed for L-series engine. So you need the same clutch disk as fitted to the L14 engine. It is 180 mm diameter and so takes a standard A14/A15 clutch pressure plate.

Or you can redrill the A12 flywheel to fit the more common L16 clutch disc and pressure plate (200 mm diameter)

yeah why would the small L series clutches not be your first choice?

its possible, if Im not wrong an early toyota clutch from will
fit some of the 260z gearboxes but its a smaller diameter yet
same input spline.

you can use the standard A14 cover. The disc doesn't care, as long as it is the correct thickness.

But the AUDI clutch spline input shaft diameter is different, so that won't work.

The question of course is ... why ?
Chances of the pressure plate bolting to the flywheel are very very remote
