Jeff has made me and many friends entire tailshafts from scratch for around $220

never ever had or heard of issues using him, heard plenty of bad stories about other tail shaft places

$550 seems a bit steep...unless they are making a whole new tailshaft with commodore unis or something

both the ute tailshafts i have had already had replacable unis in them. so it probably wouldnt be that hard to find another one that also has replacables in it

or maybe your tailshaft is bent if you have already replaced both unis

I can vouch for the guy in Ferntree Gully as well, Jeff I think his name is. Top notch operator and reasonably priced and will sort out any issues if the tailshaft is the issue.
cheers

allready replaced both unis could that be the reason for the tail shaft going out of balance? plenty of vibration not recomened to drive on it ay???

and yeh was quoted 550 new tail shaft unis, with sir clips but have replaced both unis allready so thought was kinda point less. re-Balancing wat am i looking at there this guy out in fern tree Reasonable?

thanks mate

no point buying another 30yr old tailshaft and putting it in,

take your to a tailshaft place and get them to put new replacable unis in, the originals are non replaceable but they can modify to suit replacables

they will also re-balance the shaft to remove any vibration issues from that also

there is an awesome bloke i can suggest in fern tree gully if your anywhere near there
