that sucks ,he even used the original fire wall piece ,so it somewhat looks factory haha ,nice job !
what did he do about the shifter ?

mate i f****n wish. :( apparently dad sorta new the bloke that he sold it to. (he shoved over 15 grand into it and sold it for something like only 3 waaaaaa) but anyway the guy he sold it to i think rolled it or something but i believe it no longer lives :( :( :( :( :(

Cheers mate he will be very pleased to know how many people appreciate it. and yes lots and lots of work went into it. Apparently the motor set back that far was just awesome for rallying because of the awesome turning and being able to hits corners from whatever way the turning circle was apparently fantastic.

It may not look like it but a whole lot of work went into that. The tube frame 1200's have the motor set back that far as well...........obviously makes a huge difference. Think about all the little things involved in doing this; shorter drive shaft, repositioned shifter, wire loom changes, cross-member, relocated radiator , hoese and a whole host of minor jobs.
This is a pretty neat garage built mod, I'm sure your Dad had great fun with it. Tom

Cheers mate. yeh my dad did put just a few hours of planning and work into it haha and only a cent or two. :D. such a shame he sold it when he did :( wish i could have it nowa days :( haha

Yeah I like how the firewall is stepped still retaining the same material. Good on costs, retains most of it's structural strength (pressed ribs) and shows some planning went into it to cut it out nicely.
