It's because they are awesome light rwd old school cars with great aftermarket support.. And as with all dattos have instant respect .. I got mine for $1200 which I thought was appropriate fir a 1200.

* Mazda 1200 ute
* Toyota Publica ute
* VW Caddy/Rabbit ute
* Ford Bantam ute
* Proton Jumbuck ute
* Nissan NP200 ute
* Subaru Brumby/BRAT
Most of these small coupe utilities are FWD, so don't have the advantages of the Datsun 1200 ute.

there is not much like the 1200 ute, but as the sedans and coupes and wagons there are heaps, like corollas, mazdas,ect.

not 2 many small utes. they are very handy.

i paid $2300 for mine it needs new sills and i gotta fix a bit of rust but i love it, dont think il ever sell it unless i really really have to
