i have the motor in a 1200 coupe and i have a couple of spare 120y diffs
i have a skyline diff ready to be shortened and i need to know if im better of just going for the 190 ,but i like the idea of disks from standard on the r31 diff do the h190s bolt straight in ? or will i need to relocate the mounts?

I ran a CA18de and stock CA18det for 5 years on a H165 without blowing up the diff.
For drifting.. better to get a h190 or bw78. I love the idea of cheap parts (unlimited supply) when using the BW78. Use what's cheap first.. if it's not a daily driver this is a good idea. If you can't afford time off to fix busted diffs, then put something stronger in before you start thrashing it.

Keep in mind that Nissan fitted H190 behind even the low output CA20E (108 ft.lb. torque/146 Nm)

Hi mate, check Teck Wiki on this site, i got some grate info there, related to which is stronger, and which can fit the coupe. as for LSD dont have an idea, but if its ONLY for drifting, I recon a proper weld would do the trick.

id say just weld it, if there were LSDs out there for them they would no doubt cost a whole heap of money

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an LSD centre fore a BW68 (as in Stanza)? Or do I just weld it up?

BW78 would be the stronger of the 2, axles are larger than H190 axles

Sure, it'll hold up to a CA16.
The 120Y BW68 doesn't fit a 120Y coupe without some modification. But it's a good strong diff.
