OK guys. To avoid any speculation I'll be posting pictures of the completed car.

Incuding inside shot and complete engine bay & exhaust. it now has a new front that we got directly from Japan.

just to note the rb25 fits in a silvia there note that much bigger than sr20 i think he has sent the motor into the cab to get the Kg's on the rear tyres

Now you are talking alot of sense. We recently installed a 2JZ Turbo and 6 foward getrag into a s13.

It's all about power to weight ratios. This engine in this 1200 is totally stock internally. Stock Injectors and turbocharger)
The engine and RB25DET Gearbox(incl. harness and stock ecu) run up to $1750 US
i.e. A 12 second car with a entirely stock engine (except intake)and street tyres(not drag radials) Note it uses 17" wheels that look super cool.

In terms of interior space, Anyone who has driven a 2nd Gen RX7 would not notice a space difference. It's all about planning. If you are a good planner yo can do anything. Also all the "chopping" issues have been resolved.

Furthermore, say the word and you'll get both a 11second sr20det and a CA18det Datto project build post. Who said they want to see a current Series6 13bT rx7 engine installed in another Datto?

When compared to a CA18 or sr20 and the 13B, the beauty of this install is the price comfort and feel of the engine. RB series takes alot of abuse. Althoght many persons inclding myself wold have opted for the rb20det 6 cylinder install the RB25 vvl system makes up with it's low end power.

Also based on requests you can see a L28 converstion as well.

quick mesure of my rb25 and its 2inch's longer than the datto engine bay

and the r33 has a 200mm longer engine bay than a datto

:)

doubt you would fit an RB without cutting the firewall, the take up a bit more room length ways in a silvia than an SR does. SR having the rather large fan on the front of it and a big fan shroud...room which the RB takes up

but yes it does look like hes gone a fair bit further back than what would be needed just to fit the engine in, as its got more room between the engine and radiator than the CA does in my car

cant see it being to hard a conversion once you commit to cutting the firewall back

but what did you do to the guards on the thing? and who lost control of the grinder when fitting the cooler? and the checker plate?

cool idea for a drag car...but yeah, i'll leave it at that
