I've just gone to 175/65/14s using steel wheels from an 80's Toyota Corona. I'll have them back tonight and will post a pic as long as they fit :) Hi mate, just an update on this. I used steel wheels from an ST141/RT142 Toyota Corona. Most models of the Toyota Corona with 14" wheels will be the same fitment so should not pose an issue. Your local wrecking yard will sell you a full set of these for under fifty bucks. Not a very good picture, but if gives you an idea how they look. I'll get some better pictures when I can get at the car in daylight! ![]()

I like to match the stock tyre diameter. This boils down to working out the best tyre profile for your chosen rim diameter and tyre width.
For example, say you would like to run 13" rims and a 185 wide tyre. You want to work out the profile to give you close to stock tyre diameter. Tyre diameter is rim diameter + twice the tyre sidewall height Now for the stock setup of 12" rims and 155/80 tyres this is (12 * 25.4) + (2 * 155 * 0.8) = 552.8 mm For a 13" rim and 185/60 tyres we get (13 * 25.4) + (2 * 185 * 0.6) = 552.2 mm which is pretty close to stock diameter.

It's all about offset and rolling diameter..
Get them right and nearly any diameter can fit..

you can go to 17" without changing any thing except the wheel and tire. The tire needs to be a smaller diameter one, and the wheel needs to be the right offset.
