Had a similar problem myself with some lacquer primer.

You need to make sure you mix it real well and use a strainer when loading the gun. Also make sure you don't let it sit too long in the gun or it will start to separate.

At the same time, make sure you clean the gun VERY well or you will have problems next time you load it up after it clogged.

biggest favour you can do for yourself is go to a panel beaters and ask questions, once ya tell them what car you're doing up most are pretty willing to give ya some pointers. its surprising how many people love datsuns haha. just this arvo i was at a panel beaters asking!

ooo mines a $120 gun with 3 different size tips...must be twice as good as yours then

using spartan brand primer, apparently wattyl make it
the colour is protec brand...as it was heaps cheaper. so hoping its all good

yeah it can be brands too. im mainly using Protec and K&H, havent had any real dramas with them. Im using a $60 STAR gun and since buying my compressor havent had any trouble at all, especially with overspray. and yeah i use all 2pak

it is a cheap gun, but the main problem is more of a paint issue i'd think
will have to get a mesh strainer or something i guess. see if it helps

armiee, was just normal primer
was that 2pak you are thinking of with that ratio? as all my acrylic stuff says around 150% thinned
