Rules change, I don't know if it's the case in this instance but the guy who built it may have gotten the ok before the current regulations came into play.

I'm not sure how rego works in QLD but in NSW for example, you need to get your car through a yearly inspection, so everyone with crazy cars just pay people they know/people who are willing to pass them. Hardly legal but its still gets them rego. When it gets defected just go back to the same workshop and get it cleared again.

If the guy that got it built goit it passed then good on him. Everything is governed too strictly now anyway.

I saw it up at the Sydney powercruise this year and it sure goes well!

the feds dont have to know its a 2.2L would be mod plates as an SR20, theres no way of telling from the outside lol.. tough ute
