Not sure what motor combo he is running... I just know its a rocket!!
The ceramic on my last manifold was beginnning to fail, but I now know to run the extactors bare at first to burn the oils and chemicals off them. Got up to Morgan park (Warwick Qld) on the weekend, Was running well on saturday but Sunday brought some ignition problems under load... electrical gremlins... Lovely! Was Running close with a Eg civic with DC2 type R running gear, Very satisfying!!

Let us know how the ceramic goes as I hear so many mixed reports
from excellent to downright crap. The Dave Loftus Starlet is that the common ep fwd version? http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showt ... Swift-GTi-or-EP92-Starlet stroked 7age hybrid!!!

Heard back from the Tial shaft people, They said the shaft I supplied them was way out.. I actually shook their lathe!!
Should get all the bits back this week. It would be great to find a way to test it over 200k's legally without going to the creek.

Well Jeff, seeing as I don't know the history of the motor & I want it to be running at the end of the second day, I thought just a small hot up was the go. An extra 1000 rpm in 5th would be 240k's, way fast enough for the moment. Plus we want to use the engine in Khanacross next year, so I've decided to buy the cam I need now. When I put the L20B together for the car, I'm sure a hotter cam will be used. I meant to ask you what con rods you use, as Dwayne said you used something other than stock ones. I also wanted to ask you about the Sunny Coupe your building for next year, but maybe next time.
Andrew - I'll be there at Bathurst, because they've already changed the date of the work Christmas party to suit me & if I don't go they'll probably be upset. Plus Bathurst is a serious blast. I just have to join a car club, get my license, enter the 2 events then finish the car, so I'd better sign onto the Bathurst site tonight & download a membership form.

Nick, Rb box is slightly shorter than an sr box, I believe in between a stumpy and sr??? As it is I have the selector in backwards because of space..
Ratios seems fine, revving to 8200 you really have to punch the next gear to stay on both cams... a few extra revs are needed... Thanks Jeff, some better prep and a little luck for the Datsun's next time. Would be good to see you there B310gx. You can view topic.
