I don't think this site will ever be over-run with people like that. For the most part people like that aren't drawn to owning 1200's.

very well put datsandy
"Hate it or love it I'm here to stay, Or just go scrolling through the Tech wiki over a cuppa. Dattos For Life" i have found that almost every memeber ive spoke too has been helpful in some way ,and i havent been flamed yet im not a perfect member ,i whore it up alot and ask questions that are easyily answered in other threads or in the wiki members like Clyons8, benny, DD, dundee, levey, datski and a heap of others ,have been a huge help for me ,and being my first car i didnt have much experience with engines or carbys and the likes ,but i have learnt alot so far and come on hear at least twice a day ,in the morning before work ,at lunch ,and at night (now hehe) and the good thing about this site is no puts $h%t on other peoples cars ,and if they do say something ,they say what they think is good about the car or say nothing at all ,all the rest of the forums have members that just want to show of they cars or tell everyone that there car has 1000hp more than anyone elses car or has better wheels or nicer paint i think 1200.com sets a good example for other sites ,and i hope it doesnt get ruined by peoplethat just want bragging rights over stuff "This is the place to talk about the Datsun 1200. Share your info and experience, or search for it here, to make this the best resource of living knowledge for the Datsun 1200." DATTOS FOR LIFE !

This site isn't as heavily trafficked as it used to be. When I fisrt joined there would be endless posts that I could study and learn from. I think it's almost all been said and done now. Now and again a thread will be really interesting, but I think many of the "old hands" (For want of a better word) just browse, but don't post much anymore.
It's still a great site though, and I login for a look almost everyday. For a site who's moderators almost never logged in (before DD got upgraded) this site had less beef that sites where ALL the mods were logged in all the time.

HA HA Piggy thats funny as theres a large number of members on here that would have forgotten more than you know and still no more than you. Except myself the damage is done the ability to retain things is diminishing so i just keep asking the same questions, Hate it or love it I'm here to stay, Or just go scrolling through the Tech wiki over a cuppa. this is the forum with least BS i have ever seen. no flaming, very professional.
the other forum i have been, there is always "my tool is bigger than your tool" scenario (replace tool with whatever you can think of lol) the only reason i cant contribute much in this forum, is because my expertise, specifically lack of it. everything i can think of is pretty much covered, just look at the wiki :)

let my put it this way.. Would the club be more or less succesful with more club members getting involved charing there experiance? ps: i know i cannot spel but lucky fore me you have the iq to follow what i spelled (made pease with it years ago, Thanx fore careing)" the spelling IS part of the problem if you want people to respond. When one has to decipher what's trying to be said people don't waste time with that. I've been on here for about 5 yr's on & off as that's how long my projects taking. I've gotten loads of good info from most folks here as well as being helpful to others & there's very little flaming done on this site, I dont know why anyone would want to participate in a site like that anyways, too much BS. Not trying to blast you here at all but your computer has spell check - use it instead of saying "I cant spell" & likely you'll get more positive responses, patience helps too. Welcome to the forum.

Forums are like torrents. Some people just leech.
A good forum succeeds when there is plenty of give and take. D1200.com has always been pretty good, I reckon it still is. You can view topic.
You cannot start a new topic.
You cannot reply to posts.
You cannot edit your posts.
You cannot delete your posts.
You cannot add new polls.
You cannot vote in polls.
You cannot attach files to posts.
You cannot post without approval.
