you wont be able to feel the difference of 1 or 2 hp unless your name is dyno, but it is there, if your building a big hp engine every 1 or 2 hp adds up. the real benefit is the better cooling meaning no more overheating in summer

What you will notice is the change in noise..

Lack of fan noise and because of that, the "increase" of engine noise previously hidden by the fan..

in my case i got a 13b it dose get quite warm i got 3 thermo fans on 3 core radiator.. i took off my clutch fan and put 2 10inch fans on the inside and a 16 inch on the otherside blowing inwards.. much cooler than the standard clutch rubish i had

you wont even notice the free hp if you convert to electric fan...

just do what most do put a 3 core radiator and a 16 inch fan on the fronr blowing into the the rad towards the motor and with the clutch fan sucking out the hot air??

it will decrease water temps,

Don't forget you will still need to drive the waterpump !

#1 cooling/thermo fan question
ZigZag Posted on: 2011/1/3 0:03
just thinking... if i get a decent thermo fan and a smaller drive belt to just run off the crank and alternator would that eliminate the need to drive the fan and free up 1 or 2 HP?... just thinking.
