Get a hold of an engine or repair manual and go from there or pick up a spanner and have a look, you sound fairly cluey get some practical into the mix and you will find the solution to the problem will come quicker.

Have you actually tested the output of the pump?
You're going to be really annoyed with yourself if you buy a new pump only to find that a partially blocked filter was the cause of your problems all along. Replace the filter first [cheap & easy] then see if the problem remains.

Where it looks the same or not doesn't matter, see if the arm is the same and the dimensions are correct.
Don't forget that there is a phenolic spacer too.

Just about anywhere: supercheap, repco, Nissan dealer, ebay.
Like this one from ebay. Although you can't tell from the photo if it is for early A12 or late A12. Attach file: fuel_pump.jpg (28.47 KB)![]()

just wondering where in syd would i find a late model pump?
Goss make a pump but for some reason it spans all the year ranges so im thinking that can't be correct!! anywhere you can think of? I contacted auto 1 and they said the only pump they have is a fuelmieser that suits 1971-1980?? so how would that suit the early and late model engines?? I'm most confused!
