i can take it like a man- or woman what ever they prefer.

they seem pretty technical, and some of that will go over my head. but thats what its for. to learn something new.

I dare say that V8s are actually the minority over there.

A quick heads up to anyone interested in being on performance forums. It's not the same sort of 'all ages' discussion/language. It is more like a saloon in the wild west. New members are treated with a fair big of cynicism, and often given a hard time (a bit like basic training when one first join the army, weeding out those who can't go the distance). So expect such a 'welcome' (and even using the word welcome is optimistic!) . But underneath all that, there's some top people there, it's just not quite the sort of 'extended family' type of atmosphere that datsun1200 forums have.

love the thread jmac- always thought performance forums was full of v8 stuff... will have to vist more ofthen, some nice stuff on there.

you only make that mistake once.

something like this will work, make it so it jams the chain tight .... (the hole in the top is to put some cord or wire in so you can pull it out later)

had this problem last month, i dunno much about l16 so i opened the cam just like that. turns out the tensioner at the bottom stuck, and i had to open the timing chain cover, which is a painful job. thanks for the tips!
