I had a 180B SSS for a few years (20 years ago) - had to get something more appropriate to fit a baby capsule.
From what I remember it had heavy doors and a very sloppy gearstick. It was a poor man's 240Z even with the L20B motor I put in and the twin SU's. I much preferred the 1600 for handling.

ZigZag arent you still doing your ute after how many years ? Yeah i love the style of the 180b, totally agree with ivan1. IRS rear heaps of potential for driveline upgrades with loads of room in engine bay and just a roomy car all round. If i was in the market and had an opportunity to grab one in good condition I would.

Nothing wrong with 180Bs. Have driven them as road cars and also raced one in khanacross. Still think the L18 was the best of the L series engines

Are the 180B any good? No, they are Datsun model 610, marketed as "Bluebird" in Japan. Too big, too heavy. If you like the looks, they have typical Datsun reliability though.
