Just an update... have run this setup (see above picture) for more then a year now. 26,000k travelled (no meth/water inj) no a single problem. Standard A12 with 4 speed (HD Clutch). For anyone that is interested in a similar setup i would recommend it..

did you modify the weights on the dizzy to reduce advance and total timing? this has stopped pinging altogether. also i have changed accel pump jets and idle circuit in the carb as it was to lean straight of idle. using acl copper head gasket aswell..

I built this almost 7 years ago. I run this in my daily for 2 years then sold the complete engine and setup to a mate and he ran for another year or so. It was then sold on. Before I used the water/meth setup I went through 3 engines in 2 months. My advice is to use water/meth setup.

The bloke thatbought it off me was going to mod it to fit a moris, he was qld! As o said it was about 3 years ago I had my setup

i know what your saying. i would rather have car running sweet without any additional fluids for the moment. I will let you know if i ever sell it...

Is it a coolingmist one if so its all jetted for that setup and will rid your pinging problem so I'd set that up first then play with timing! If you ever want to sell this setup can you let me know plz as this is the best forced setup I've had
