Does that extend to countries where the jurisdiction of australian laws has no power? Seeing as this forum and all it's admins are either in portugal or USA? I know there are bi lateral agreements with USA but not sure about Portugal where the site is actually hosted from

Elemental you really have no idea,if someone has sent threats via txt that is admissable evidence in court for criminal charges.
It is against the law to use a carriage service in such a fashion and even the internet is classified as a carriage service for criminal action that can be brought against some for open threats of violence.
It is whilst understandable also illegal to openly supply details such as someones bank details as was evidently done earlier.

If someone is screwing you over you can approach a magistrate and gain an order to have all their assets and financial accounts frozen by the courts,amazing just how quickly some of these scamming bastards come to the party when they have no more acess to these items.
If they try to sell something frozen under a court order that is a custodial sentence,and to allude to favorable treatment from the police department will land you in court very quickly as they take a dimm view of corruption something that sort of statement alludes to.
The Admins of the site also have a legal obligation to report such offences to the authorities so I think you all need to grow up and sort things out right now,this sort of carrying on will destroy any forum and can result in it being closed by the authorities so wake up everyone,criminal records last forever.
